2-second branding hack straight from the Big Don

2-second branding hack straight from the Big Don

Donald Trump, love or hate the guy, was an amazing marketer.

I mean, even the fact that I subconsciously wrote the above sentence that way proves it.

You LOVE… OR… you HATE him.

(I’m actually a rare exception to this. Unfortunately, politics in Freedom Country [praise be] typically boils down to picking the demon with the smaller horns.)

Point is:

Being polarizing is one of the best ways to build a brand.

Why?

Pushing away people you don’t want to associate with almost automatically attracts the people you DO want to associate with.

In other words, stand for something.

If you don’t believe me, look at Gary Bencivenga’s first “marketing bullet” inside the Classroom tab.

But the above is NOT the “Big Don” branding technique I’m talking about.

No.

There was an even more amazing “hack” he used to spread his name far and wide.

Much, much further than if he didn’t use this trick.

And unlike the above technique, I *never* hear anyone talk about this one, even though it’s probably the closest thing you’ll ever find to a “free lunch”.

(In other words, it takes zero effort.)

And I’m not just saying that to “sell” you on it.

The trick is actually something you can implement in seconds.

It also has nothing to do with modern-day social media or even the internet, either, since he used it well before the rise of Zuck.

Plus, I can think of only one marketer living today who has explicitly said he uses this trick.

So it wouldn’t be a stretch to say that this is “lost knowledge” in 2025.

Certainly, you’d never hear an info-bro talk about it.

Want it?

Not too long ago, in a land not particularly far away, I posted a video breaking down Trump’s funnel.

I talk all about it in that video, right around the 2:03 mark.

Here it is:

P.S. I used the trick just now. 😼
