The story:

A 5-year-old King Trystan was at Pizza Hut when he saw something that he immediately wanted:

It was in one of those toy capsule machines where you put a quarter in, turn a metal knob, and it drops a plastic “egg” with a toy inside it.

The toy in this case was some ninja dude made out of string.

I don’t remember what events unfolded that didn’t allow me to get one of them, but we had to leave the place without getting it.

But…

I was beside myself with DESIRE for one of those 2-cent Chinese-manufactured ninjas.

And determined to get one no matter what.

So after thinking over my options…

I turned to the internet.

Little did I know I was about to bear witness to the true darkness of the present age.

My mom described it as the “moment my childhood was over”.

I describe it as the moment I essentially ate the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

In this case, evil was definitely the predominant force.

Anyway, I wanted a string ninja, so I typed up my search query:

“String man”.

I was met not with a man MADE out of string…

But men WEARING strings.

Basically just a bunch of zesty white dudes in g-strings salaciously staring at me.

Not a sight I wanted to behold.
